Garage Sale
Of course, if you’ve got loads of stuff to get rid of, you could see if your neighbours want to get together and organise a joint garage sale. This can be a really fun bonding experience, plus freeing up some space and making you all a bit of money (which you could always donate to charity).
Bake them a cake
Baking (or any other kind of cooking) is a great way to show that you care. It’s also a handy opportunity to use up all the old ingredients in your cupboards that you don’t want to haul to your new place!

Of course, one of the best ways to ensure a happy and harmonious farewell is to make sure you cause your old neighbours the least disruption possible. Try to keep your move to between 9am and 5pm. If parking for the removal van might be an issue, give your neighbours plenty of notice and, if you might end up blocking someone’s drive, always ask permission. Finally, make sure you don’t leave loads of rubbish piled up outside of the house when you leave as that’s a sure-fire way to upset people!
